Has anyone else been caught out in the Cross City Tunnel recently? Have just received a penalty notice for travelling in excess of 30kmh over the limit. Apparently there was a 40kmh limit at the time (10.52pm on Thursday 25 Feb) but I was not aware of any signage, nor of trucks, workmen or lane closures. As it stands I will lose my licence and that will be extremely difficult because I work shiftwork as a nurse. Yes, that's on the DOJ list too. What kind of camera?

There were 30 cameras on the original list and 61 on the second list for a total of 91. What would increase the total in Melbourne by about 50%. I have records of sightings of less than half so far.

I noticed a camera going up at the corner of Princess St (Alexandara Pde) and Nicholson St in Carlton. The camera is facing northbound, though it's still being put together.

Does the sign say $peed or $afety camera?

It is indeed a very small sign, but they obviously took the Victorian approach to the sign and made it the same as ours.
Just wait, it doesn't take long for these small signs to get damaged by wind, cars, people and in a few weeks the sign is missing and people have no clue of a camera or not and it takes weeks before they decide to put a new one back(if they ever do).

Very small single sign and easy to miss in busy traffic.

Man, it is hidden just behind the "school zone" sign too.

So it is a variable 70/40 kmh zone cam and its gonna catch lots of people, as it is a slight downhill gradient too. $$$$$$$$ for the RTA.

Wonder if it zaps you going the opposite direction as well ?

How is this for teaching youngsters responsibility and restraint ?

YOUNG drivers who committed to the Slow Down Pledge have been rewarded with a boozy day out at the Twenty/20 cricket.

Pictures of the group featured on the RTA's Facebook page show young people swilling beers, with one member commenting they were "so drunk afterwoods[sic]".

OK the most SNEAKY DIRTY trick I've seen from a mobile cam...
I'm approaching this soft-roader (CRV or similar) on opposite side of the road. Parkers on, LEFT INDICATOR ON! As I pass I look in to see old mate in the LEFT hand seat rubbing his hands together at the thought of snapping his fellow motorists.

Come on is there nothing they won't do to take my cash?

Location: Lancefield-Melbourne road just south of the Bolinda bridge, facing north.

Incidentally same road, few km further south is a fav breeding ground for budding cam op's - just last week I saw a whole row of them on the side of the road... made me feel sick. Even had a cute little sign that informed training was in progress. Does that mean on this occasion I could relax should my speed accidentally creep above 103km?
